New Years Eve Reflections
It’s hard to believe that 2015 has come to an end. It seems like only yesterday that we were wrapping up our year-long preparation to debut in the public eye. Anna spent New Year’s Eve coding and drinking whiskey accompanied by her cats wearing fancy hats. Ben slaved over financial and business documents. We were still holding our precious secret, excited to reveal to the world what it was that was taking every second of our time.
We premiered publicly at Fashion Arts Toronto in April. From that point on, it was a slew of events in both the wearables, fashion-tech and fashion industries. We collaborated on exciting projects with fellow innovators, were involved with some fantastic events, and met so many incredible people who we are blessed to now call our friends.
It was an exciting time albeit at times frustrating as we found the path to finding our studio’s physical home to be almost a year’s voyage. At the close of 2015, we look back at the places we’ve been and the things we’ve done with pride.
We are excited for what 2016 is going to bring. Our new home at 555 Richmond Street West is currently under construction, morphing into the modern studio that we will soon occupy. We have even more collaborations and partnerships in the New Year that we can’t wait to tell you about. We are looking forward to further immersing ourselves in both fashion and tech, to meeting more new people and friends, and to growing alongside our diverse and exciting community.
Our New Year’s Resolution is to enjoy each moment of the next phase of our journey (corny as that may sound) to explore and push the boundaries, to evolve and challenge ourselves, and to support the talented individuals who call this great city home.
Happy New Year!
